Arthur M. Wolfe
Arthur Michael "Art" Wolfe (born April 29, 1939 in Brooklyn ; † February 17, 2014 in La Jolla ) was an American astrophysicist and director of the Center for Astrophysics & Space Sciences at the University of California, San Diego .
Wolfe received his PhD in Texas in 1967. He is one of the two discoverers of the Sachs-Wolfe effect . In 1995 he was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences .
