Arthur Tiefenthaler

Arthur Tiefenthaler (born February 24, 1938 in Frastanz ) is a former Austrian politician ( FPÖ ) and technician. From 1983 to 1984 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

education and profession

After attending primary and secondary school in Frastanz, Tiefenthaler graduated from the technical college for mechanical engineering in Bregenz and graduated in 1958. As a result, he worked for 37 years as a technician at Presta in Liechtenstein .

Politics and functions

Tiefenthaler joined the Freedom Party of Austria in 1965 and was elected to the Frastanz municipal council on May 2, 1975 . Between May 1985 and April 1990 he was also a member of the Frastanz municipal council and between 1985 and 1990 he was chairman of the planning committee. On April 25, 1990, he resigned from the local council and council. As a member of the constituency of Feldkirch , he was sworn in on February 23, 1983 as the successor to Alfred Eß in the Vorarlberg state parliament, to which he belonged until November 5, 1985. There he was a member of the Finance Committee and a member of the Energy Policy Committee. He also acted as a substitute member in the culture committee and substitute member in the social policy committee in the Vorarlberg state parliament. Within the party, Tiefenthaler was active as district party chairman of the Feldkirch Freedom Party until June 4, 1985, but left the Freedom Party of Austria in 1992.

In addition to his political activities, Tiefenthaler was particularly involved in the club life of his home town of Frastanz. So was musically active as a member of the Frastanz choral society, was involved in sports as a member of the Frastanz gymnastics club and a member of the Frastanz ski club and was also a member of the Frastanz tourist office.

Private

Arthur Tiefenthaler was born as the son of the ÖBB employee Otto Tiefenthaler, whereby his father came from the municipality of Frastanz. His mother Berta Tiefenthaler, née Gabriel, was born in Gurtis . Arthur Tiefenthaler married in 1961 and had a daughter in 1963 and 1968, and a son in 1964.
