Artur Auernhammer MdB , (born March 9, 1963 in Oberhochstatt , Weissenburg-Gunzenhausen district ) is a German politician ( CSU ). Auernhammer was a member of the German Bundestag from 2004 to 2005 and has been a member of the Bundestag again since 2013.

education and profession

After attending secondary school and the advanced vocational school for agriculture , Auernhammer completed an agricultural apprenticeship. He then attended the agricultural college in Weißenburg in Bavaria and the higher agricultural school in Triesdorf . Auernhammer studied "Agriculture and Interest Representation" at the German Youth Academy in Bonn-Röttiingen and then took over his parents' farm in 1995. Auernhammer works today as a state-certified farmer and agricultural master on his parents' dairy farm , which he took over in 1995.

Political party

Auernhammer became a member of the Junge Union in 1993 and the CSU in 1994. From 1998 to 2013 he was district chairman of the CSU working group on agriculture in Middle Franconia . From 2011 to 2017 he was deputy state chairman as well as a founding member of the working group Energiewende (AKE) of the CSU. Artur Auernhammer is deputy chairman of the Working Group on Food Agriculture and Forests (AG ELF) of the CSU

MP

Auernhammer has been a member of the district council of the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district since 1996 and of the Weißenburg city council since 2002.

On July 29, 2004, he stood up for the resigned MP Albert Deß in the German Bundestag . In the 2005 Bundestag election , however, he was not re-elected to the Bundestag.

In the elections to the 18th German Bundestag on September 22, 2013, Auernhammer was able to return to the Bundestag with 34th place on the list. On September 24, 2017, he won the direct mandate for the constituency 241 Ansbach in the federal election with 44.3% of the first votes.

Artur Auernhammer is a full member of the Food and Agriculture Committee and a full member of the Sports Committee in the 19th legislative period . He is the CSU's agricultural policy spokesman in the Bundestag.
