Arvīds Jurgens

Arvīds Jurgens (born May 27, 1905 in Riga , † December 17, 1955 in Montreal ) was a Latvian national football player .

Jurgens started his career at JSK Riga . From there he later moved to Rigas FK . From the summer of 1928 until the end of 1929 he played for FK Austria Wien . He then returned home and worked for Rigas Vanderer and ASK Riga . He made his debut for the national team in 1924. By 1935 he had 38 international matches. Between 1932 and 1937 he played very successfully ice hockey for the club HK ASK Rīga . He was also used for the 1936 Olympic Games in 1936 .
