Arvydas Akstinavičius

Arvydas Akstinavičius (born May 24, 1960 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian politician.

Life

After graduating from high school with distinction at the 7th Middle School in Žirmūnai , he studied medicine at the Vilniaus universitetas in 1986 and worked as a psychiatrist in the Psychiatric Hospital in Naujoji Vilnia , then until 1996 as a neurologist in the 9th Vilnius Polyclinic . From 1991 to 1996 he was an assistant in the Seimas , from 1996 to 2000 a member of the Seimas (member of the committee for human rights ).

From 1989 he was a member of the Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija , from 1999 of the Lietuvos socialdemokratų sąjunga (LSS), from 2003 head of the LSS.
