Arvydas Mockus

Arvydas Mockus (born February 5, 1960 in Jurbarkas ) is a Lithuanian politician, member of the Seimas .

Life

He graduated from the school for young physicists "Fotonas" and the school for young mathematicians . After graduating from high school with distinction in 1978 at Tauragė 4th Middle School , he graduated with honors from Kauno A. Sniečkaus politechnikos institutas in 1983 with a degree in mechanics . From 1983 he worked in Šiauliai , from 1984 to 1989 with the Komsomol Committee, and in 1989 with Sąjūdis . He founded Šiaulių televizija and worked at UAB “Arvirida” as a director. From 2007 to 2012 he was a member of the Šiauliai Municipality Council . He has been a member of the Seimas since 2012 .

Since 2004 he has been a member of the Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija .

He has the children Daumanta and Dovaldė.
