Asaf Givon

Asaf Givon (born July 8, 1994 in Israel ) is an Israeli chess player .

He plays club chess for Hapoel Kfar-Saba , with whom he also took part in the European Club Cup in 2012 and 2013 . In 2013 he won the Israeli Open Championship ahead of Tal Baron .

In May 2013 he received the title of International Master . He achieved the norms for this within five months: at the Czech Open 2012 in Pardubice , at the U18 European Championship 2012 in Prague , at the European Club Cup 2012 in Eilat and at the 3rd international tournament in 2012 in Petach Tikwa . He achieved norms for receiving the grandmaster title at the Jeruchess tournament in Jerusalem in January 2015 and at the Israeli team championship in 2016, in which, among other things, he won against Maxim Rodshtein (Elo 2710).

His Elo rating is 2470, his highest rating to date was 2477 in April 2016.
