AsapScience ( spelling AsapSCIENCE ) is a YouTube channel founded by Canadians Gregory Brown and Mitchell Moffit , on which scientific videos are published weekly.
Moffit and Brown also own a secondary channel, Greg and Mitch (formerly AsapTHOUGHT ), which primarily uploads non-scientific videos.

Mitchell Moffit and Gregory Brown are a publicly known gay couple. They got to know each other at the university where both studied biology. Moffit and Brown published their first book AsapSCIENCE: Answers to the World's Weirdest Questions, Most Persistens Rumors, and Unexplained Phenomena in March 2015 .
Video format
Mitchell Moffits and Gregory Brown's videos are mostly of the same format. You use a voice from the off while drawings are being made on a whiteboard to support what is being said. In a behind-the-scenes video, they announced that Moffit is responsible for the narrative voice and music, and Brown is the main illustrator.

Among other things, they worked with Bill Nye on the video Could We Stop An Asteroid? together, where different ways were discussed how humanity could stop an asteroid if a collision with Earth was imminent.
On February 2, 2014, AsapScience announced that they were working with CBC News to shoot a video every day for 19 days, starting on February 6, 2014.

Controversy
On March 26, 2017, AsapScience posted a video about the existence of God and whether it could be proven or disproved by mathematics. The video is called Can Math Prove God's Existens? and is the video with the most dislikes so far (as of August 2017). The Italian channel, Canale Test, released a parody of the video that garnered over 15,000 views for AsapScience used "unjustified statements and illogical mindsets".
Other work
In February 2016, Mitchell Moffit was announced as one of 16 house guests on Big Brother Canada 4 . He reached eleventh place and was chosen on the 42nd day with a score of 5: 3. Mitchell Moffit was the first member of the jury.
