Asaru

Asaru is a Sumerian deity. In Sumerian mythology he belongs to the Anunna .

As the god of fertility, he lets fruits grow in desolate places and is the protector of gifts. He was revered as the one who has knowledge of all plants and trees.

In later Babylonian times, the name and function of Asarus was transferred to Marduk . From then on it was one of the 50 names of the Marduk.
