Aschaffenburg Talks was a panel discussion series on various topics of contemporary history that took place in Aschaffenburg from 1978 to 2008 .

The Aschaffenburg Talks were initiated in 1978 by the historian Guido Knopp , who grew up in this city , and were organized and led until 2008. They were broadcast promptly on television (ZDF, Phoenix ). The preferred venue was the Aschaffenburg City Theater, to which the discussion leader Knopp invited historians, politicians and political scientists to discuss historical and controversial topics.
At the end of the 30th Aschaffenburg Talks on April 4, 2008, Guido Knopp said goodbye to his audience and announced that these were his last talks.
