Ashes of Campe (politician)

Asche von Campe (born September 15, 1881 in Braunschweig , † June 5, 1953 in Holzminden ) was a German farmer and politician.

Life

Asche von Campe was the son of the manor owner Otto von Campe. After graduating from high school in Goslar, he studied law at the University of Heidelberg and became a member of Corps Vandalia Heidelberg in 1903 . After his time as a trainee lawyer, he joined the 19th Oldenburg Dragoons Regiment and did his military service there in the First World War. Campe was district commissioner in Poland from 1916. After training in agriculture in Parey , he took over the Deensen family estate as the eldest son when his father died in 1921 .

Asche von Campe was a member of the Holzminden district council from 1925 to 1930 . He was a member of the state parliament of the Free State of Braunschweig from 1922 to 1924 and changed in the course of 1922 from the state electoral association to the DVP and business association. As a member of the state parliament, he became a member of the supervisory board of the Hameln electricity company. Campe retired from politics in 1933. He was a member of the Brunswick Knighthood and the Order of St. John.
