Beatrix Herlemann (* 1942 in Magdeburg ) is a German historian and author .

Life

Beatrix Herlemann received her doctorate in 1975 at the University of Bochum on communal politics of the KPD in the Ruhr area 1924–1933 .

The author, who now works as a freelance in Hanover , has since published with a focus on the history of German social democracy .

An important reference work is her Biographical Lexicon of Lower Saxony Parliamentarians 1919–1945 , which appeared in 2004 in the publications of the Historical Commission for Lower Saxony and Bremen .
