The Asgard-Verlag is a publisher of legal, social and medical media in Sankt Augustin .

Asgard-Verlag specializes in medical and dental (fee) accounting. In addition to seminars and events, it offers dentists and doctors many medical and dental specialist books, loose-leaf publications and electronic media. There is also a selection of specialist media from the areas of social affairs and law.
history
The publishing house was founded on July 1, 1947 in Lübeck by Max Richter , Horst Peters and state director Wilhelm Goettsch with the name " Publishing house of the newsletter for social insurance" . When the licensing requirement fell, the company was renamed "Asgard-Verlag" around 1950. This choice of name reflected Max Richter's penchant for Nordic mythology. He wanted to point to the "Nordic" roots of the publishing house. The name “Asgard” had nothing to do with the publishing program in the field of social security . The newsletter became the specialist journal “ Paths to Social Insurance” , which was soon followed by a series of publications entitled “Further Education and Practice”, which covered all specialist areas of the traditional branches of social insurance.
In 1953 the company moved from Lübeck to Bad Godesberg , following the trend to be present at the seat of the federal government. After the death of the last co-founder Max Richter in the summer of 1966, Werner Hippe , who had been production manager at the publishing house since 1963, took over the company, initially as a sole proprietorship and later as a limited partnership . In the course of the generation change in 1998, the company was split up into a holding company and an operating company. Since then, the operative business has been carried out by Asgard-Verlag Dr. Werner Hippe GmbH. A three-person advisory board acts as a link between the shareholders and management (Stefan Maus for production and marketing, Uwe Schliebusch for finance and controlling). In 1976 the publishing house in Sankt Augustin was built and moved into. Today, specialist literature and electronic media are produced here on medical / dental fee regulations on the subject of social issues / law, social policy, and medicine and care.
