Ask van der Hagen (* 1996 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian actor whose main role as Jo Indstad in Arild Andresen's 2010 feature film The Liverpool Goalie or: How to Survive School Time ! is known.

life and career

Born in 1996 as the son of journalist Alf van der Hagen in the Norwegian capital Oslo, Ask van der Hagen spent the first years of his life on the island of Tjøme and moved to Oslo with his family as a first grader. His family looked after a guesthouse on Tjøme, as well as the Gamle Ormelet , an art and cultural center. He made his film debut in the 2010 feature film The Liverpool Goalie or: How to Survive School Time! that he shot when he was 13 at the time. Two years before that he was already working in an extra role in Max Manus by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg . For his leading role as Jo Idstad in The Liverpool Goalie , he was nominated for a Best Buster Award in the category "Nordisk Film Foundation's Best Child Actor" at the 2011 BUSTER - Copenhagen International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Denmark assert themselves against the competition in this category. The film itself also won numerous prizes, including a Transparent Bear at the 2011 Berlinale . In December of the same year he also starred in the TVNorge television series Den unge Fleksnes . After the child actor was largely quiet again, Ask van der Hagen, who also has a twin brother with Lars van der Hagen, was in the Norwegian pirate film Captain Saber Tooth and the Treasure of Lama Rama in 2014, directed by John Andreas Andersen and Lisa Marie Gamlem in the role of Deckhand .
