Asley González

Asley González Montero (born September 5, 1989 in the province of Villa Clara ) is a Cuban judoka . He fights in the weight class up to 90 kilograms.

Career

After two third places in 2008 and 2009, González was three-time Cuban champion between 2010 and 2012. In 2011 he won the title at the Pan American Championships, in 2012 he finished second. He also won the silver medal at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara in 2011 .

In August 2011 he took part in the Judo World Championships in Paris and won the bronze medal in his weight class. The following year he won the silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. In the final he lost to the South Korean Song Dae-nam in extra time after Golden Score .
