Assück was an American grindcore band from Saint Petersburg that was formed in 1987 and disbanded in 1998.

history

The band was formed in 1987 by singer and guitarist Steve Heritage. In the period that followed, there were several line-up changes. In addition, the band released their debut album Anticapital in 1991 on Sound Pollution Records . In 1995, singer Paul Pavlovich, bassist Pete Jay and drummer Rob Proctor ( Nasty Savage ) were in the band. Steve Kosiba joined the line-up as the new bass player in 1996. After Daryl Kahan (formerly Citizens Arrest ) joined the band as a singer, the band held a European tour. In 1997 the second album Misery Index followed through Sound Pollution Records . The recordings for this took place in the Morrisound Studios and the Nordic Helmet Studios under the direction of Scott Burns . The band consisted of the bassist Steve Kosiba, the drummer Rob Proctor and the guitarist and singer Steve Heritage. In 1998 the band broke up.

style

According to Gregor Arndt from Metal Hammer, the band play aggressive grindcore on Anticapital , whereby the band would continue where "where napalm death no longer dared after Mentally Murdered ".
