Assen Karaslavov ( Bulgarian Асен Караславов ; born June 8, 1980 in Asenovgrad , official FIFA transcription from the Cyrillic: Asen Karaslavov ) is a former Bulgarian football player . He played a total of 267 games in the Bulgarian A Grupa and the German 2nd Bundesliga .

Career

The Bulgarian international began his career with Botew Plovdiv in Bulgaria . In the 2000/01 season, the team released 14 players (including Karaslavov), lost 12 games in a row and rose for the first time since 1953 back in the Bulgarian second division. Karaslawow came under the league rivals and seven-time Bulgarian champions Slavia Sofia , where he played 140 games in six years. From July 2007 to June 2012 he played for SpVgg Greuther Fürth in Germany's 2nd Bundesliga . For the 2012/13 season he moved back to his home country to Botew Plovdiv.

National team

In the Bulgarian national team Karaslawow has completed ten games so far, most recently in the spring of 2006. Since the beginning of the European Championship qualification in September 2006, he has not been part of the squad.
