Associação Cultural, Recreativa e Social de Samuel
The Associação Cultural, Recreativa e Social de Samuel (ACRSS) is a non-profit organization in the Samuel community in Portugal .
history
The community was founded in 1982 in Coles in Samuel and has been ISO 9001-2008 certified since 2009 . It is a partner organization of the national "European Information Center" of the Portuguese Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
In 1989, the leaders of the ACRSS applied for the European Charter - Villages of Europe , an association of rural communities from all EU countries for their community of Samuel . Since then they have been organizing the representation of Portugal in the project by the Samuel community. The diverse commitment of the ACRSS in the development of the partner community enjoys great recognition by the organization.
aims
The association is committed to the needs of children, young people and the elderly in the community. He runs geriatric care facilities, a kindergarten and a music school, organizes cultural events, social work, health education and professional development. The association holds nationally advertised training courses on sustainable economic management and organizes conferences on the solidarity economy with institutions of the EU, the state and other supraregional institutions . The project he helped initiate to strengthen the position of women and the local solidarity economy received the support of the EU . The innovative concepts for early education and especially care for the elderly have been accepted and make a massive expansion of capacities necessary.
