Association of Proposal Management Professionals

The Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) is a non-profit organization promoting proposal management , an area of ​​the sales process . The declared aim of the association is "to further develop the specialist knowledge, methods and techniques of offer management and to promote its professionalization".

The association was founded on August 14, 1989 in the USA . The association is now divided into 27 regional organizations (so-called chapters ), most of them within the USA. In Europe there are chapters in Great Britain , Ireland, the Nordic countries , the Netherlands and the German-speaking countries ( DA-CH ).

The association operates a three-stage model for the certification of the professional qualifications of its members (APMP Certification, not to be confused with the certification of the same name by the Association for Project Management (APM) ). According to the association, over 6,000 members are currently certified worldwide (as of November 2014). Certification is quite common in the US and UK.
