Association of German-speaking shortwave listeners

The Association of German-speaking Shortwave Listeners e. V. (ADDX) is a German association of radio listeners and friends of worldwide radio . Today around 3000 members are organized in the registered association . The seat of the association is Mönchengladbach .

The association, founded on January 14, 1967 on the initiative of Gustav-Georg Thiele, the former head of the high-frequency technology department at Deutsche Welle in Cologne , is the publisher of the monthly specialist magazine “Radio-Kurier - Hear Worldwide”. The magazine is dedicated to radio on short wave , medium wave , long wave , VHF , satellite, DAB , DRM and on the Internet .

In addition to the publication of this magazine, the main areas of work are an extensive magazine archive on the subject of radio reception and radio, as well as the reprint of historical books and magazines on CD-ROM that reflect the development of radio.
