The Astraea Nunatak is an approximately 620 m high nunatak on the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . It rises about 10 km south of the Staccato Peaks and east of Williams Inlet .
Participants in the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948) mapped it using Trimetrogon aerial photographs. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the Nunatak after the asteroid (5) Astraea .
