The Williams Inlet is a bay in the south west of Alexander Island off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . The Dargomyschski glacier flows into this side bay of Bach Inlet .
Aerial photographs were taken in 1947 during the US Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948) and in 1959 by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey . These were used by the British geographer Derek Searle to map the bay in 1963. By Landsat recordings from 1973, the geographical position was specified. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on June 11, 1980 after the British composer Ralph Vaughan Williams (1872-1958).
