The Bach Inlet is mostly from the Bach Ice Shelf occupied bay in the southwest of the West Antarctic Alexander Island . Your entrance is between Berlioz Point and Rossini Point . The Boccherini Inlet , the Williams Inlet and Stravinsky Inlet are by bays.

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1978 in connection with the ice shelf of the same name. Its namesake is the German composer Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750).
