The Stravinsky Inlet is an ice-covered bay in the south of the West Antarctic Alexander Island . As a side bay of Bach Inlet , it lies between the Shostakovich and Monteverdi peninsula .
The British Directorate of Overseas Surveys mapped them in cooperation with the United States Geological Survey using satellite images provided by NASA . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it on December 20, 1974 after the Russian-French-American composer Igor Stravinsky (1882–1971).
