Astrid Lindgren Prize (Germany)
The German Astrid Lindgren Prize was a children's literary prize awarded by the Friedrich Oetinger publishing house in honor of the author Astrid Lindgren on her milestone birthday . Like the Swedish Astrid Lindgren Prize , it was first awarded in 1967.
The prize was awarded from 1969 to 1999 for unpublished manuscripts written in German. A four-person jury decided on the award of the prize. Most recently (2007) the prize money was € 10,000. The works awarded the prize are also published by Oetinger-Verlag.
