Astrid Timmermann-Fechter

Astrid Timmermann-Fechter (born June 22, 1963 in Marl ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2013 to 2017 she was a member of the German Bundestag .

In the federal election in 2009 she was defeated by her opponent Michael Groß in the Recklinghausen II constituency . Four years later she was defeated by the SPD candidate Arno Klare in the Mülheim - Essen I constituency . Timmermann-Fechter was nevertheless elected as a member of the German Bundestag in the 2013 federal election, ranking 37th on the CDU state list for North Rhine-Westphalia . There she was a member of the Committee on Family, Seniors, Women and Youth and an alternate member of the Committee on Health. In the 2017 federal election , she missed re-entering the Bundestag.
