Suhora Astronomical Observatory

The Astronomical Observatory Suhora , Polish Obserwatorium astronomiczne na Suhorze , engl. Mount Suhora Observatory is an observatory of the Astronomical Department of the Pedagogical University of Krakow . It is located at an altitude of 1009 m on Mount Suhora, which belongs to the Gorce Mountains , about 50 km south of Kraków .

The Cassegrain telescope with 60 cm aperture

The observatory was founded on November 5th, 1987, based on a design by R. Walczykiewicz . It is equipped with a 60 cm Cassegrain reflector telescope , which can be operated with a photometer or a CCD camera.
