Asuka Machi (born May 20, 1994 ) is a Japanese table tennis professional . He is right-handed and uses the shake handle pose .
Career
In 2007 he was active internationally for the first time, in 2009 he played his first adult tournament. In 2010 he took part in the Youth World and Asian Championships, where he was ever able to win silver with the team and gold in doubles with Kōki Niwa . In Germany he played for the TTC matec Frickenhausen .
In October 2014 he moved into the top 100 of the world rankings for the first time , at the end of the year he won the ITTF Grand Finals in the U-21 category in Bangkok and consequently reached a new record with world rankings 73 in January 2015. Due to a lack of activity, it was temporarily not included in the world rankings in 2016 and 2017 and fell out of the top 100 again with the introduction of the new world ranking calculation in 2018. His last international tournament for the time being was the Croatia Open in April 2018.
