Aswan SC

The Aswan Club is an Egyptian football club in Aswan .

The club, which was founded in 1930, plays its home games in the Aswan Stadium, which has a capacity of 20,000 . Between 1990 and 2004, the Aswan Club spent seven years in the Egyptian Premier League ; best placement was the 9th place in 1997. In the summer of 2011, the club failed with one point behind table leader Telephonat Bani Sweif on promotion from the Egyptian Second Division to the top division. For the 2015/16 season, he was promoted to the Egyptian Premier League again. Ahmed Hassan , world record international player , played for the Aswan Club from his youth until 1997.
