The Athletics World Cup was first held in London on July 14th and 15th, 2018 . Participating athletes were expected from eight nations (China, Germany, France, Great Britain, Jamaica, Poland, South Africa and the USA), who competed for a total of two million US dollars in prize money in all disciplines of athletics. For women as for men, one athlete each competed in direct final matches at two evening events in the London Olympic Stadium in 2012 .
