history

The franchise was founded in 1995 and in the same year first took part in the A-League, the second soccer division in the USA and Canada . In the regular season, the Ruckus took 4th place. In the playoffs they had to admit defeat to the Seattle Sounders in the final . In 1996 they finished 6th and last in the Atlantic Division. Thus, the Ruckus could not qualify for the playoffs. Also in 1997 and 1998 the franchise clearly missed qualifying for the playoffs.

The team was then sold. The new owner founded the Ruckus under the name Atlanta Silverbacks . The Silverbacks are considered the successor team to the Ruckus.
