The Atlantic Hotel Sail City ( spelling ATLANTIC Hotel Sail City ) is a four-star hotel in Bremerhaven that is part of the hotel cooperation Atlantic Hotels, part of the Zech Group . With a total height of 147 meters and 23 floors (86 meters without the top), it is the highest accessible building in the state of Bremen.
The hotel, which was built between 2006 and 2008, is located in the Alter Hafen / Neuer Hafen area directly on the Weser dike next to the Klimahaus Bremerhaven and the German Maritime Museum and is intended to stimulate tourism in the city as part of the Havenwelten .
The sail-shaped hotel designed by the Bremen architects Klumpp Architekten has a restaurant on the ground floor, conference rooms and an event room with a panoramic view on the 19th floor: the Captains Lounge . The hotel, which is located on the lower 8 floors of the building, has 120 room units. Floors 9 to 17 are rented as office space, the 18th floor is used by the building services. The visitor's terrace, which is also accessible from the outside and requires entry, is located on the 20th floor at a height of 77 meters. From there, stairs lead to a second viewing platform, 86 meters high. The two-story underground car park is operated by Stäpark.
In summer 2008 the two-story extension for the Conference Center Bremerhaven with six additional conference rooms for up to 550 participants was completed.
