The Atlantik 488 series is a series of fishing and processing vessels from the Volkswerft Stralsund . The series, also known as the Atlantic factory trawler , was the last series of fishing vessels to be keeled at the Volkswerft .

history

The launch of the type ship Moonsund took place on April 30, 1985, it was handed over to the Estonian state fishing company Estrybprom on July 2, 1986 . By 1993, 37 factory trawlers had been delivered. The construction of further ships was canceled due to the insolvency of the successor to the Soviet client.
