The Atsam language (cawai, cawe, cawi, chawai, chawe, chawi; ISO 639-3: cch) is a platoid language from the group of Kainji languages ​​spoken by a total of 30,000 people in the Nigerian state of Kaduna .

Together with the homogeneous language Piti [pcn], the Atsam forms the subgroup Piti-Atsam.

The language uses the Latin script for writing.
