Kenka Lekovich (born September 27, 1962 in Rijeka Yugoslavia ) is a freelance writer who lives in Trieste .

Life

In 1985, Lekovich received first recognition for her writing at the "Istria Nobilissima" competition. She moved to Trieste in 1990, where she has been registered as a journalist since 1993 . In 1995, her first novel, La strage degli anatroccoli , was published in Venice and was selected for the Premio Giuseppe Berto and the Premio Montblanc. In 2003 she was invited to the Graz Capital of Culture year and was elected city ​​clerk of Graz the following year . She wrote the libretto for Fausto Romitello and Paolo Pachini's video opera An index of metals . She has written smaller works for the small theaters in Trieste “Teatro dei Fabbri Trieste” and “Teatro Miela Trieste”.
