Atsushi Nagai ( Japanese 永 井 篤 志 , Nagai Atsushi ; born December 23, 1974 in Kagoshima Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Nagai learned to play football on the school team at Kunimi High School and the university team at Komazawa University . He signed his first contract in 1995 with Fukuoka Blux (today: Avispa Fukuoka). The club played in the second highest league in the country, the Japan Football League . In 1995 he was with the club master of the Japan Football League and rose to the J1 League . For the club he completed 54 games. In 1998 he moved to league rivals Sanfrecce Hiroshima . In 2000 he moved to the second division Montedio Yamagata . For the club he completed 251 games. In 2007 he moved to league rivals Vegalta Sendai . In 2009 he was with the club master of the J2 League and rose to the J1 League. For the club he completed 127 games. In 2011 he moved to the third division club FC Ryūkyū . At the end of 2011 he ended his career as a football player.
