The Attenborough Strait is a roughly 60 km long strait west of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . In a southeast-northwest orientation it leads between Charcot Island and Latady Island from the open Bellingshausen Sea to the icy Wilkins Sound .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2010 after the British wildlife filmmaker and naturalist David Attenborough (* 1926).
