Attilio Giovannini (filmmaker)

Attilio Giovannini (* 1915 in Milan , † after 1967) was an Italian film critic and animator .

Giovannini worked primarily in the field of film theory and as a critic, but wrote a handful of screenplays for animated films at long intervals (including for Bruno Bozzetto ) and was responsible as a director for the animated film Pinocchio e le sue avventure from 1954 in addition to a few short films , which he also scripted.

He was the editor of Film Special magazine, which appeared from October 1967. Giovannini had an extraordinary collection of early Italian films, some of which he donated.
