Attiya Mahmood

Attiya Mahmood (* 1954 ) is a Pakistani diplomat .

Career

Mahmood joined the Pakistani Foreign Service in 1979. From 1984 to 1987 she worked for him in Toronto , from 1991 to 1995 in Ankara and from 2000 to 2003 in London . In the State Department itself, she was Section Officer (1980–1984), Director (1988–1991 and 1997–2000) and Director General (2007–2008). From 2008 to 2010 she was Additional Secretary and from May 2013 to February 2014 Special Secretary.

From 2003 to 2007 Mahmood was Pakistani Ambassador to Morocco and from 2010 to 2013 Ambassador to Jordan . From 2014 to 2015 she served as the Pakistani ambassador in Jakarta , with accreditation for Indonesia , East Timor and ASEAN .

Mahmood has a Masters degree in Journalism. She is married.
