Audi presented new laser- based headlights at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas . The high beam generated with laser diodes shines almost 500 meters and is three times as bright as LED high beam. The headlights were installed in an Audi Sport quattro concept, which is otherwise identical to the IAA study.

Motorization

The 700 hp hybrid engine consists of a V8 biturbo and an electric motor of around 150 hp. When powered by both motors at the same time, the vehicle should be able to accelerate from standstill to a speed of 100 km / h in up to 3.7 seconds. The manufacturer specifies the maximum speed as 305 km / h.
