The Audi Sportback Concept is a concept vehicle presented by Audi at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) 2009 . The concept is based on the platform of the Audi A6 C7 planned for 2012 and was mass-produced by the manufacturer as the Audi A7 C7 .

Technical innovations that were presented on the basis of the study are a diesel engine with combustion chamber sensors , which are intended to improve the control of combustion, and exhaust gas aftertreatment using selective catalytic reduction . With the study, Audi also showed modified design elements on the body and a modified vehicle shape that is based on the Audi 100 Coupé S model .
