Audrey Tang ( Chinese  唐鳳  /  唐凤 , Pinyin Tang Feng , * 18th April 1981 ; formerly known as Autrijus Tang, formerly Alias autrijus now audreyt ) is a Taiwanese free software - programmer , mainly within the Perl Association of is known as the inventor and main developer of the PAR tool and initiator and leader of the Pugs project. She was involved in a total of over 100 Perl projects, such as the new CPANPLUS module. She introduced smoke tests and digital signatures in the CPAN . Audrey is also a translator of numerous free computer programs and several books from the open source movement into traditional Chinese. As a high school dropout, she is an advocate of self-taught and individual anarchism , which has earned her some attention in the Chinese-language press.

In late 2005, she officially changed her gender and subsequently both her Chinese and her chosen English name.

In 2012 Tang was one of the founders of the free citizen participation platform g0v.tw. On October 1, 2016, she was appointed Minister without a portfolio .
