The AUER Packaging is a company headquartered in Amerang ( Upper Bavaria ), which specializes in the production and distribution of transport and storage containers made of plastic. In 2018, the company reported sales over 100 million euros for the first time.

history

The company was founded in 1985 by Robert Auer in Kraiburg and initially produced plastic parts for gardening needs. In 1991 the perennial box was the first plastic box to hit the market. In addition to the seasonal focus on gardening needs for major customers, Auer began with the production of buckets for the food industry in order to achieve better utilization of the injection molding machine. The further development to industrial boxes soon followed. The company grew thanks to beverage crates and in 2007 son Philipp Auer joined the company. In 2008 Auer expanded in Europe to Poland , Spain , Great Britain , Switzerland and the Netherlands . In 2014 Auer acquired the current location in Amerang, and in 2019 a second and third production hall and a logistics hall were built there. With the restructuring, a new management level was set up and four more members of the management team were appointed.

Corporate structure

Auer has production sites in Amerang with around 50,000 m² and Hohenpeißenberg . There are also eight subsidiaries in Western and Eastern Europe. In addition to the management consisting of founder Robert Auer, HR manager Diana Auer and marketing manager Philipp Auer, Katharina Ganslmaier, Monika Auer, Michael Wenninger and Sergej Andert were appointed to the management level in 2019.

The company produces around 42 million plastic containers per year. Customers include companies from the food industry, wholesalers and retailers, the automotive industry and mechanical engineering. The annual turnover in 2018/2019 was 100 million euros.

Products

The product range extends from storage bins, shelf and material flow boxes (C-parts) for shelf storage to round or oval containers for the chemical and food industry to stackable KLT containers, large load carriers, euro containers, system boxes, protective cases and pallets in various sizes and designs . The products are made exclusively in Germany .
