Auerbachs Mühle is a post mill in Wolmirstedt in Saxony-Anhalt . The grounds of the Mühlenhof are used for gastronomy today.

history

The mill was built in 1842. The name goes back to the former miller family Auerbach , who lived here . The post mill was in operation until 1952. The last miller was Karl Auerbach . After years of dilapidation, the mill was poorly secured in 1983. A comprehensive renovation took place from 1992 to 1994. At this point in time, the restaurant of the same name was also built on the Mühlenhof. The originally very quiet location west of Wolmirstedt is affected by the bypass road that now runs west of the mill.

The mill still has a complete set-up and is open to the wind . The wing cross consists of louvre wings . As means is a milling operation 1400 mm, a shot transition 1250 mm, a Dost-roll mill 400 by 300, a view of the machine of the type Askania , a peeling machine and a Schroll cylinder present. In addition, there are the typical auxiliary equipment such as transmissions , bag lifts and elevators . There is also an old electric motor of the slip ring type .

An old Göpelwerk is next to the mill. It originally served as a drive for a threshing machine .
