Bernard Bonnin

Bernard Bonnin (actually Herman Bonnin ; born September 8, 1939 in Himamaylan , Negros Occidental , Visayas ; † November 21, 2009 in Quezon ) was a Filipino actor.

Life

Bonnin gained national fame through the film Palos , in which he portrayed a kind of Filipino James Bond , based on a pulp novel by Virgilio and Nestor Redondo . In the television series based on this film, which was produced in 2008, he had a supporting role. Bonnin, who was called Pretty Boy of the 60s , starred in about 170 films over four decades, including in Gagamba , Ako ang Lalagot sa Hininga Mo , Code Name: Bomba , Target: Captain Karate, and in his first film Ay Pepita . Bonnin was married twice; the beauty queen and television presenter Charlene Gonzalez and the actor Richard Bonnin are two of his children.
