Detective psychotherapy

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Revealing psychotherapy is a comprehensive term for psychotherapies whose psychotherapeutic technique aims to make unconscious mental conflicts conscious and thus "uncover" them. This technique belongs in particular to psychoanalysis according to Sigmund Freud , analytical psychology according to CG Jung , individual psychology according to Alfred Adler and transaction analysis according to E. Berne .

In contrast to revealing psychotherapy, behavior therapy is not interested in unconscious conflicts and is not considered a revealing procedure . Non-revealing (“covering”) forms of psychotherapy are summarized under the designation of supportive psychotherapy .
