August Anton Heinrich Wilhelmi (* before 1798 , † after 1809 ) was a German visual artist and gold and silver worker.

life and work

August Anton Heinrich Wilhelmi was a well-known gold worker in Hamburg . In 1798 he became a member of the Hamburg Society for the Promotion of the Arts and Useful Trades . In 1807 he presented this society with a memorial plaque he had created and carved in silver with the bust of the late Hamburg Senator Johann Arnold Günther and the inscription “Dedicated to the carrier of the citizen's welfare”. The company placed this plaque in their meeting room.

Honors

For the bust of Senator Günther, finely chased in silver by Wilhelmi, the Hamburg Society for the Promotion of the Arts and Useful Trades presented the Hamburg gold and silver worker with the "larger gold coin of honor ".
