August Desenz

August Desenz (* 15. October 1938 in Voslapp ) is an in Wilhelmshaven known and surrounding organ grinder .

The foundation (August Desenz barrel organ foundation), founded in 2008 on the occasion of Desenz's 70th birthday, primarily promotes the preservation of local history and monuments, animal welfare, education and upbringing, as well as social affairs in the youth and adult sector in the Wilhelmshaven-Friesland area .

Since 1984 Desenz has been collecting donations with its barrel organ for a variety of facilities, associations, institutions and organizations in the Wilhelmshaven-Friesland region. For many locals it is part of the cityscape. Desenz can be found at weekly markets, in the North Sea Passage and at a variety of events in Wilhelmshaven and Friesland.
