August Müller (born June 26, 1895 in Soest ; † July 5, 1960 ) was a craftsman, functionary and politician.

Müller had been a master painter since 1922. Later he was district apprentice warden, chairman of the journeyman's examination committee and specialist teacher. After all, Müller was head master, district master craftsman and vice-president of the Dortmund Chamber of Crafts .

politics

Before the time of National Socialism , Müller was a member of the Center Party . For this party he was city councilor in Soest from 1930 to 1933.

After 1945, Müller joined the CDU . For this he was again a member of the city council from 1946 and was also mayor that year . He was also the second district chairman of the CDU. In the district council of the Soest district , Müller was parliamentary group leader of his party.

In 1946 he was a member of the Provincial Council of Westphalia and in 1946 and 1947 a member of the appointed Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was then directly elected member of the Soest constituency in the first and second legislative periods until 1954.
