August Plath
August Plath (born June 15, 1800 in Hamburg ; † August 1, 1870 there ) was a German timber merchant.
Life
August Plath was a son of the Hamburg timber merchant Johann Christian Plath . He went into his father's business and started a floorboard trade . Plath was a poor carer from 1850 to 1855 and 1858 to 1863 . From 1854 to 1858 he was a tax citizen. He was one of the founders of the Hamburg Animal Welfare Association and was a member of the board from 1846 to 1862.
From 1859 to 1867, Plath was a member of the Hamburg Parliament . Due to a physical condition, he was released from citizenship at his own request before his term of office expired.
August Plath married Anna Dorothea Friederika Rothe (1820–1875) on January 5, 1843; they had three sons and a daughter.
